Cameren
Cameren is an avid fastpacker and trail runner with a deep love for long days in the mountains. While training for a sub 4 day attempt on the Tahoe Rim Trail, he found himself grinding through solo four-hour training runs week after week. As an extrovert who thrives on community, he knew there had to be a better way. In 2024, the idea for Placerville Run Club was born—a way to bring local trail runners together and build a thriving running culture in the Sierra Nevada Foothills.

Luke
Luke has never ran up a hill in his life (a true power hiking champion), has an impressive list of DNFs, and his favorite distance is the beer mile (although sometimes he skips the mile and goes straight for the beer).

Do I need to be an elite runner to join?
Nope! All types of runners are welcome! Whether you just want to hike a couple of miles to stay in shape, run at a 6 min/mi pace for 15+ miles to prepare for an upcoming 200 mile ultramarathon, or literally anywhere in between, you can come run with us!
What is the format of the runs?
We want runners of all skill levels to come, so we try to provide multiple suggested routes with different mileages. Everyone starts from the same spot, can run at their own pace, and then finish at the start.
How much does it cost to be a member of the run club?
It's totally free!! We want it to be as accessible to our community as possible. That said, we do highly appreciate donations to help our website function and the snacks and drinks flowing.
